Project Summary
Icebreaker is a Netflix series adaptation of Hannah Grace's bestselling romance novel, with Daisy Jelley and Connor Simos cast as leads Anastasia Allen and Nate Hawkins. The college-set hockey romance follows a figure skater and hockey captain whose shared rink leads to an enemies-to-lovers romance. Amanda Lasher serves as showrunner, with Jade Bartlett as creator and co-writer, and the series is produced by Alex Cooper's Unwell Productions alongside Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre. Production is set to begin in Vancouver in mid-October 2026, with principal photography running through February 2027. The series joins Netflix's growing slate of hockey romance adaptations, following the success of HBO Max's Heated Rivalry and Prime Video's Off Campus.
