Matt Kaplan is the founder and CEO of ACE Entertainment, a top-tier production company and financier focused on feature films, television series, and digital content for Gen Z and Millennial audiences. The former President of Awesomeness Films, he is best known for producing Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved Before franchise, XO, Kitty, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?. In 2023, he co-founded Trending — a Gen Z-focused parent media venture alongside his wife, podcaster Alex Cooper — which houses ACE Entertainment, the Unwell Network, and Call Her Daddy. He began his career at CBS, rose to SVP Development & Production at Lionsgate, and ran Chapter One Films (with a Blumhouse first-look deal) before heading Awesomeness Films' film division at Jeffrey Katzenberg's invitation.
