About

Unwell is a Gen Z– and millennial-focused media, lifestyle, and entertainment company co-founded in 2023 by podcaster Alex Cooper (Call Her Daddy) and film producer Matt Kaplan, operating as a subsidiary of their umbrella company Trending. The company spans a podcast network (The Unwell Network, with over a dozen shows and a major SiriusXM partnership), film and TV production (Unwell Productions), an in-house branded creative agency (Unwell Creative Agency), a beverage line (Unwell Beverages/Hydration), an online shop, live events, a foundation, and venture capital. In August 2026, Unwell secured its first outside investment from Patrick Whitesell's WTSL at a $500 million valuation, having been profitable from day one and self-funded by Cooper and Kaplan, who retain majority ownership.
