Project Summary
Hot Curlers is a sports comedy currently in pre-production for an early 2027 shoot in New Zealand and Calgary. Based on a true story, the film follows four curlers from Naseby, New Zealand who pursue an unlikely path to the Winter Olympics. David White directs from a script he co-wrote with Anna Taylor. The production brings together Kelly Martin producing for South Pacific Pictures alongside White, with Calgary-based SEVEN24 Films participating. The project is working with the New Zealand Film Commission and has Cornerstone Films handling worldwide sales following its launch at the Toronto International Film Festival. Cast includes June Squibb, Linda Hamilton, Caroline Aaron, Jayne Eastwood, and George Ferrier. Madman Entertainment holds distribution rights for Australia and New Zealand, while Mongrel Media acquired Canadian rights.
