The BBC has secured a new adaptation of Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie's legendary Belgian detective, in what's being positioned as a major multi-season commitment for the broadcaster. Mammoth Screen—the production company behind previous Christie adaptations And Then There Were None and Murder is Easy—is producing the series in partnership with Agatha Christie Limited. Writer Benji Walters, whose credits include Noughts + Crosses, is adapting the scripts. The production is expected to film in Liverpool and the north-west of England over the summer, with a first season targeted for late 2027. The BBC won the project in a competitive bidding situation against other networks and streamers, committing to a potential three-season run.
