Project Summary
Guru is a psychological thriller that has commenced principal photography with John Abraham in the lead role. Ribhu Dasgupta, known for his work on Netflix's Bard of Blood and films like Te3n and The Girl on the Train, directs the project. The film also stars Danish Pandor, Arif Zakaria, and Kitu Gidwani. Production companies attached include Authum Entertainment, Shibasish Sarkar, JA Entertainment, and Fusion Flicks. The story centers on a protagonist whose life changes when he realizes something is deeply wrong and that his memory no longer aligns with reality. As unsettling events gather around him, he must question his own perceptions and whom he can trust. The film explores themes of memory, perception, and psychological instability. Earlier reports from Pinkvilla suggested the London schedule was planned for September 2026, though the current Variety report confirms shooting has now begun.
