Drowning

Drowning (Doobna in Hindi/Urdu) marks a significant crossover for Indian singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad, known for hits including "Cold/Mess" and "Kasoor," as he makes his feature film acting debut. Directed by Dar Gai, the Ukrainian-Indian filmmaker behind Teen Aur Aadha and Namdev Bhau: In Search of Silence, the film was shot on location in New Delhi. The production represents Marginal MediaWorks' first fiction feature produced in South Asia, developed in partnership with Los Angeles-based D36 and Mumbai's Jugaad Motion Pictures, the production company co-founded by Gai. Marginal MediaWorks, a Los Angeles-based independent studio founded by Sanjay Sharma, focuses on genre storytelling from marginalized voices across film, television, and other media formats.
