Marginal MediaWorks, Inc. ('MARGINAL') is an independent production company and public benefit corporation focused on premium genre storytelling from outsider and marginalized voices, including writers and directors of color, women, immigrants, LGBTQ+ community members, and others globally. The company develops and produces feature films, episodic series, animation, interactive/Web3 content, and audio series across thriller, horror, heist, near-future sci-fi, comedy, and aspirational narrative subgenres. In its first several years, Marginal produced over a dozen feature films distributed on Amazon, HBO Max, Hulu, and IFC, earning recognition including a Jury Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival, Gotham Award nominations, Independent Spirit Award nominations, GLAAD, NAACP Image Awards, Imagen Awards, and Best Picture at Fantastic Fest. Imagine Entertainment (Brian Grazer and Ron Howard) acquired a majority stake in the company in November 2018.
