Project Summary
Crime Novella is writer-director Omar de Soto's feature directorial debut, now in post-production after wrapping principal photography this summer. The independent romance thriller stars Percy Hynes White and Jeff Wahlberg as Cash and Valentine, two lovers caught between jealousy and deceit who embark on a violent road trip to Las Vegas. The film was shot on 35mm across multiple locations including Albuquerque, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Mexico. Produced by Paul Bennett IV of Replica and Marco Shepherd of Centropolis Entertainment, with Roland Emmerich serving as executive producer, the project also features Zlatko Burić, Bobby Soto, and Ava del Cielo. Centropolis Entertainment financed the feature, which de Soto describes as a modern descendant of films like Badlands and Wild at Heart.
