Warner Bros. Pictures Animation (WBPA), formerly known as Warner Animation Group (WAG), is the revitalized theatrical feature animation arm of Warner Bros. Pictures, a division of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group under Warner Bros. Discovery. Established in January 2013 as the successor to Warner Bros. Feature Animation, the studio has produced over 10 feature films grossing a combined $2 billion at the box office, including The Lego Movie franchise, Smallfoot, and DC League of Super-Pets. Under President Bill Damaschke, rebranded in June 2023, the studio is building a new slate of filmmaker-driven animated features encompassing 2D, CG, and photoreal animation—collaborating with world-class creatives on originals and beloved IP-based properties including The Cat in the Hat (2026).
