Project Summary
After their love letters are discovered in 1892 in Memphis, Tennessee, Alice Mitchell and Freda Ward, two young girls, are forbidden to ever speak again. Ward adjusts to this with apparent ease, and that leaves Mitchell heartbroken. The result is fatal, jealous rage. Ward's murder trial is one of the most sensational of its time.
