Project Summary
Theo of Golden is a feature film adaptation in development at Warner Bros Pictures, based on Allen Levi's word-of-mouth publishing phenomenon. The project has Tom Hanks attached to star as the title character and produce alongside Gil Netter and Gary Goetzman, with Levi serving as executive producer. Jesse Ehrman and Sheila Walcott are overseeing for the studio. The source novel, published by Simon & Schuster in October 2025 after initial self-publication in 2023, has sold over 3. 5 million copies in the United States and become a New York Times bestseller. Netter brings experience with character-driven literary adaptations including The Blind Side and Life of Pi. Warner Bros is currently finalizing rights negotiations, with no production start date or location announced.
