New Line Cinema

New Line Productions, Inc. (doing business as New Line Cinema) is an American film and television production company founded on June 18, 1967, by Robert Shaye in New York City, and since 2008 has operated as a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group (a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery). Nicknamed 'The House That Freddy Built,' New Line is best known for the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, and the record-breaking IT and Conjuring horror universes. Today it operates as one of four live-action labels within the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, functioning as Warner Bros.' primary banner for horror, genre, and mid-budget studio films.
