New Line Cinema

New Line Productions, Inc. (doing business as New Line Cinema) is an American film and television production company founded in 1967 by Robert Shaye in New York City. Since 2008, it has operated as a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment (owned by Warner Bros. Discovery). Nicknamed 'The House That Freddy Built,' New Line is best known for the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, and the record-breaking IT and Conjuring horror universes, and currently serves as Warner Bros.' primary label for horror, genre, and mid-budget studio films.
