Legendary Entertainment is a leading global media company based in Burbank, California, with film (Legendary Pictures), television (Legendary Television), digital media, and comics (Legendary Comics) divisions dedicated to owning, producing, and delivering content to worldwide audiences. Founded by Thomas Tull in 2000, the company has built a library of marquee media properties — including the Monsterverse, Dune, Jurassic World, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and Interstellar — with Legendary Pictures-associated productions having realized grosses of more than $20 billion worldwide at the box office. In October 2024, Legendary bought out the Wanda Group's majority stake, making management and Apollo Global Management equal partners, giving the company greater flexibility for large-scale M&A. Legendary has a new multi-year worldwide distribution deal with Paramount Pictures as of September 2025.
