Project Summary
Work And Structure brings director Maria Schrader together with Sandra Hüller for a German-language adaptation of Wolfgang Herrndorf's acclaimed autobiographical work. The film follows Herrndorf through his final years after receiving a terminal glioblastoma diagnosis in 2010, documenting his life through the blog that became a literary phenomenon in Germany. Schrader is writing the screenplay with Jan Schomburg. Komplizen Film produces, with co-production from Studiocanal, ZDF, and France's Haut et Court. Studiocanal handles worldwide sales and will release the film in Germany, France, and Italy in 2028. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in early 2027, making this an active pre-production opportunity for German and international crew.
