Project Summary
The Saw franchise is moving forward with a new untitled film helmed by Mike P. Nelson, the director behind Wrong Turn and Silent Night, Deadly Night. James Wan and Leigh Whannell, who created the original Saw, return as producers alongside Jason Blum, following Blumhouse Atomic Monster's acquisition of Twisted Pictures' stake in the franchise. The project features a script by Gregory Weidman & Geoff Tock, known for Dune: Prophecy. This marks a departure from the previously announced Saw XI, which stalled in development due to producer conflicts and was ultimately scrapped. Executive producers include Mark Burg, Oren Koules, Stacey Testro, Michael Clear, and Judson Scott, with the film being developed through Lionsgate and Blumhouse Atomic Monster. No production timeline, cast, or filming locations have been announced.
