About

Twisted Pictures is an American horror and thriller production company founded in 2004 as a division of Evolution Entertainment by Mark Burg, Oren Koules, and Gregg Hoffman. The company is best known as the producer of the entire Saw franchise, which has grossed over $1 billion worldwide across ten films distributed by Lionsgate. In June 2025, Blumhouse Productions acquired Twisted Pictures' 50% stake in the future Saw franchise rights, returning creative control to original co-creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell. The company continues to produce genre films and thrillers under Mark Burg's leadership, with its most recent release being Twisted (2026), directed by Darren Lynn Bousman.
