Untitled Dan Perlman Coming-of-Age Comedy

Dan Perlman has wrapped principal photography on his untitled feature directorial debut, a coming-of-age comedy adapted from his award-winning short film Cramming. The film stars Romo Lee and Lucas Adler as two eighth-grade students who scheme to avoid their final exams by orchestrating daily school shutdowns with a group of fellow misfits. Perlman wrote and directed the film, which shot in New York City and features a cast of stand-up comedians including Maria Bamford, Gary Gulman, Jamie Lee, Sean Patton, and Yamaneika Saunders, plus Tony Award winner Laura Benanti. Lucien Formichella and Charlotte Gilbert produced, with Charlotte Kassimir, Amer Hilal, and Perlman executive producing. The project received support from The Gotham's Project Market and Rooftop Films' Filmmakers Fund, and is now in post-production.
