The Gotham's Project Market

The Gotham's Project Market (officially the Gotham Week Project Market) is the longest-running and largest curated independent film marketplace in the United States, produced annually by The Gotham Film & Media Institute (formerly the Independent Filmmaker Project/IFP), a membership-based non-profit founded in 1979. It is a meetings-driven forum connecting new fiction and documentary projects in development with key industry executives — including distributors, financiers, production companies, festival programmers, and sales and talent agents — interested in identifying projects for development, financing, or distribution. The market takes place each fall during Gotham Week in Brooklyn, New York, and has supported over 10,000 projects throughout its history, with alumni going on to films distributed by A24, Netflix, Amazon, Focus Features, Neon, and many more.
