Untitled Carlo Ancelotti Documentary

Paolo Sorrentino has begun production on his first documentary, an intimate portrait of Carlo Ancelotti, one of football's most decorated coaches. The untitled project is currently filming in Brazil and will follow Ancelotti as he manages the Brazilian national team through the 2026 World Cup next month in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Production will then continue in Italy through autumn. The documentary combines archive footage spanning Ancelotti's playing career at AC Milan and Roma with newly shot material across Italy, Spain, Brazil, and the U. S. The project is produced by Francesco Melzi d'Eril for MDE Films, Chloe McClay, Celia Babini, and Buck Andrews at Tart Productions, and Gabriele Moratti for MeMo Films, in association with Fremantle and The Apartment. Eric Beard serves as executive producer with Where is Football. FilmNation is handling worldwide sales outside Italy.
