The Secret of Secrets

The Secret of Secrets brings Dan Brown's latest Robert Langdon thriller to Netflix as an eight-episode limited series, with Morgan Spector stepping into the iconic role of the Harvard professor and symbologist previously played by Tom Hanks in feature films. Carlton Cuse serves as showrunner and co-creator alongside Brown, leading production through his Genre Arts banner with executive producers Emma Forman and Zoe Robyn. Rebecca Hall is set to co-star as the missing scientist whose discoveries lie at the intersection of futuristic science and mystical lore. The series received a straight-to-series order from Netflix in May 2025 after a competitive bidding war, with the novel published by Doubleday in September 2025. Production is scheduled to begin this fall in Prague, where the story is set, marking one of the few major international projects to use the Czech capital as itself rather than a stand-in. Staffing for the writers' room is already underway as the project moves toward its Prague shoot.
