Genre Arts is the production banner of writer-producer-director Carlton Cuse (Lost, Jack Ryan, Locke & Key, Bates Motel), founded in 2017 when Cuse signed a four-year, low-eight-figure overall deal with ABC Studios (Disney). The company, headquartered on the Disney Studios lot in Burbank, specializes in elevated genre storytelling across fantasy, sci-fi, and horror for network, cable, and streaming platforms. Genre Arts is known for acclaimed series including Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime Video), Locke & Key (Netflix), Pulse (Netflix), Five Days at Memorial (Apple TV+), and is currently in active production on a Robert Langdon series for Netflix based on Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets, starring Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall. The company subsequently entered a multiyear first-look deal with Amazon Studios in 2022.
