Genre Arts is the production banner of Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-winning writer-producer-director Carlton Cuse (Lost, Jack Ryan, Locke & Key, Five Days at Memorial), founded in 2017 when Cuse inked a four-year, low-eight-figure overall deal with ABC Studios (Disney). The company specializes in elevated genre storytelling across fantasy, sci-fi, horror, mystery, and thriller for network, cable, and streaming platforms, with Cuse also mentoring the next generation of showrunners. Following the expiration of the ABC/Disney deal, Genre Arts entered a multiyear first-look deal with Amazon Studios in March 2022. The company is currently in active production on a Netflix straight-to-series adaptation of Dan Brown's The Secret of Secrets (the sixth Robert Langdon novel), starring Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall, with filming set to begin in Prague in fall 2026.
