The Place of Eternal Summer

The Place of Eternal Summer (La terra dell'estate) is currently shooting in Sicily under the direction of Maddalena Ravagli, making her feature directorial debut. Known for writing acclaimed series including Gomorrah and ZeroZeroZero, Ravagli co-wrote the screenplay with her frequent collaborator Leonardo Fasoli. The film follows Leo and Turi, two very different children who meet at age 10 and reconnect across three summers five years apart, exploring themes of friendship and identity in a world that seems to have predetermined their paths. The production is a collaboration between Moontrip—a banner set up by Rome-based Cattleya (owned by ITV Studios)—and Tramp Limited, with additional involvement from Beside Productions. Vision Distribution will handle Italian theatrical release, while Vision Distribution International Sales manages worldwide sales. The project received €300,000 in Eurimages co-production support for this Italy-Belgium collaboration.
