The Origin of the World marks Brady Corbet's fourth feature following his Oscar-winning epic The Brutalist. Corbet is working from a 200-page script that he describes as genre-defying and X-rated, exploring American mysticism and the history of the occult across multiple centuries. Shooting is planned across two major blocks totaling 50 days, utilizing ultra-rare eight-perf 65mm cameras.
