The One Before The One

The One Before The One is a YA romance film written and directed by Brittany Sarkisian in her feature directorial debut, based on a story by John E. Clark. The time-travel romance follows burned-out Wall Street analyst Steven as he's transported back to his senior year of high school and reunited with his lost love, Beth, while rebuilding his relationship with longtime friend and songwriter Katie. The project stars Charlie Gillespie, Sara Waisglass, and Siena Agudong. Sarkisian and Jaylen Moore produce for Showmance Productions, alongside producers Raja Collins, Dan Sheldon, and Tara Pirnia. Blue Fox Entertainment is handling worldwide sales and launched the project at the 2026 Cannes Film Market. Set against late-90s nostalgia with Nokia phones, house parties, alt rock, and Y2K panic, production begins July 6 in Austin, Texas.
