Project Summary
The Little Prince is entering development as an ambitious live-action feature from director Morten Tyldum and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy. The project represents a new cinematic take on the beloved 1943 novella, blending Saint-Exupéry's biographical story as a pioneering French aviator with the fantasy world of his most famous work. Beaufoy is writing the screenplay, which draws elements from French comic artist Joann Sfar's graphic adaptation and portrays the bond between the Little Prince and the Aviator. The film is being produced by Aton Soumache and Paul Trijbits for Magical Society, working in collaboration with Le Petit Prince Groupe, guardian of the Saint-Exupéry estate. While the real-world aviator story will unfold in live action, the Little Prince character will be brought to life through visual effects. The project is in early development with cast, production partners, and shooting schedule yet to be announced.
