Soma is a sci-fi drama currently in production under the direction of Belgian-Hungarian filmmaker Miklós Keleti, making his feature debut. The film stars Mark O'Brien and Dutch actress Anneke Sluiters as scientist couple Paul and Sarah, who struggle to help their son Theo with a rare language disorder. When Paul develops an experimental drug to improve communication, his growing obsession puts his family at risk. The international co-production brings together Velvet Films in Belgium, Goodbye Productions in Canada, Three Brothers in Estonia, and Volya Films in the Netherlands. Filming is taking place through mid-September 2026 in Estonia—specifically Tallinn and Käsmu—and the Netherlands. The creative team includes cinematographer Virginie Surdej, production designer Tiiu-Ann Pello, and editor Yannick Leroy. Financing comes from the Film Center of the Wallonia Brussels Federation, Telefilm Canada, the Netherlands Film Fund, and the Estonian Film Institute.
