Parasyte: Tamiya

Parasyte: Tamiya is currently in post-production for Netflix, with a 2027 premiere planned. The Japanese-language series marks Yeon Sang-ho's return to the Parasyte universe following the success of Parasyte: The Grey. Yeon developed the story and co-wrote all episodes with Ryu Yong-jae, while Japanese directors Kakimoto Kensaku and Kazuhiro Nakagawa helm the episodes. Shioli Kutsuna stars as Ryoko Tamiya, playing the character across three registers: the original human, the violent parasite that takes her over, and the evolving being caught between both worlds. Wowpoint, the production company behind Parasyte: The Grey and The Human Vapor, is producing. The series explores Tamiya's journey as she gradually comes to suspect that coexistence with humans, rather than predation, may offer her species its best chance of survival.
