A down-on-his luck former cop turned screenwriter, on the run from mob guys for debts, has an affair with a former disco singer/movie queen in Palm Springs and agrees to write her a comeback Broadway play, but he's seduced by her beautiful gender fluid gay son, who tries to convince him to kill his mother for the insurance.
