Project Summary
In her early thirties, Lynette struggles with multiple jobs, including illegal ones, to buy her family's Portland home. With prices soaring, Lynette sees this as their only shot at stability. She's saved for the down payment but needs her mother's help for the rest. When her mother backs out, Lynette scrambles to find the money. "The Night Always Comes" tracks Lynette's frantic quest over two days, navigating a city in flux. Ignored and desperate, Lynette makes a risky choice, confronting her past and reality head-on.
