Project Summary
Melodies in the Forest is a World War 2 drama heading into pre-production with Kevin Spacey attached to lead as Petr Novotni, an elderly conductor whose hidden past comes back to haunt him. The film is written and directed by Roberto Lippolis, whose previous work includes the Italian thriller Il gatto e la luna (The Cat & the Moon). The project is produced by Italy's Ventitre SRL in co-production with UK-based Pink Flamingo Media Group, with additional executive producers including Jayney Mackie and Enzo Storico. Blue Eyes Film and Distribution has acquired worldwide sales rights and is introducing the project to buyers at the Cannes Market. The cast also includes John Savage, Vincent Spano, Antonella Salvucci, and Andrea Bruschi. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in October 2026 across Italy and the Czech Republic, with the historical drama exploring themes connected to the Terezín ghetto during World War II.
