Chin Chin

Chin Chin is a six-episode scripted dramedy series filming in New York City, with each episode approximately 15–20 minutes long. Weeks before her baptism, 28-year-old Nigerian-American writer Tolani Otedola is determined to become the woman God is calling her to be. But between a messy situationship, a stalled writing career, family pressure, complicated friendships, and an unexpected new romance, Tolani keeps asking God for signs while ignoring the answers right in front of her. Set in New York City, Chin Chin is a dramedy about faith, love, family, and figuring out who you are when life looks nothing like you thought it would. The project comes from an award-winning filmmaking team whose previous work has screened at the American Black Film Festival and Marthas Vineyard African American Film Festival, streamed on American Airlines and AspireTV, and been featured by Deadline. The creative team has also received recognition through programs and initiatives from Tribeca Studios and Tyler Perry Studios. The production will pursue a festival and distribution strategy, including festival programming, digital distribution, and platform opportunities upon completion.
