Tyler Perry Studios

Tyler Perry Studios (TPS) is a major film and television production studio founded in 2006 by actor, filmmaker, playwright, and entrepreneur Tyler Perry, and located on 330 acres of the former Fort McPherson Army Base in southwest Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of the largest film production studios in the United States and established Perry as the first African-American to outright own a major film production studio. Through its slate of films, TV series, and stage plays — including the long-running 'House of Payne,' 'The Haves and the Have Nots,' and 'Beauty in Black' — TPS has become a landmark for diverse and inclusive storytelling. In October 2023, TPS entered a landmark multi-year, first-look partnership with Netflix spanning eight films and television projects through 2027.
