Abby's Life

Abby's Life is an emotional coming-of-age drama about identity, exploitation, and finding the courage to reclaim your own voice. Sixteen-year-old Abby Gerard has become a successful social media influencer—but the online life millions admire is one she never chose. Every post, sponsorship, and viral moment is orchestrated by her controlling mother, Nancy, who sees Abby less as a daughter than as the family's greatest financial asset. Behind the carefully curated smiles and brand deals, Abby is exhausted, isolated, and slowly losing herself. When a quiet classmate encourages Abby to rediscover the hobbies that once made her happy, and her loving grandmother uncovers the truth behind Nancy's financial manipulation, Abby is forced to confront the woman she loves most. Standing up to her mother means risking everything—but staying silent means surrendering the rest of her childhood. Heartfelt, timely, and emotionally satisfying, Abby's Life explores the hidden cost of influencer culture and reminds audiences that true success comes from living a life that belongs to you. The production is filming in Welland, ON.
