Wreckless

Wreckless is an independent sports drama currently filming in Rochester, Minnesota. The project marks the directorial debut of Kayla Arend, who co-wrote the screenplay with Mickey Falcone. The story centers on Joni, a volatile seventeen-year-old, and her father Larry, a recovering alcoholic, whose fractured relationship is tested when Joni enters the world of demolition derby. Alexa Swinton leads the cast as Joni, with David Arquette as Larry, Wyatt Oleff as Atlas, and Sawyer Spielberg as Bo. The production is shooting within Rochester's actual demolition derby community and features local talent alongside the principal cast. Clément Bauer produces for Resonate Entertainment alongside Vic Brandt, with executive producers including George Hubbard, Teresa Tsai, Timothy Carpenter, John Siff, Inna Swinton, and Rolfe Swinton. Arend, a graduate of NYU's Graduate Film program whose thesis film was executive produced by Spike Lee, developed the project through the NYU Production Lab's Feature Film Development Studio.
