Untitled Daniels Sci-Fi Film

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert are preparing their first feature since Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven Oscars in 2023. The untitled sci-fi project moves into production this summer in Los Angeles, with Matt Damon leading an ensemble that includes Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Michael Gandolfini, Sean Kaufman, Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks, Thalia Dudek, and singer PinkPantheress in her feature debut. Universal Pictures is backing the film through the Daniels' five-year exclusive partnership, with Kwan, Scheinert, and Jonathan Wang producing through their Playgrounds banner. The story reportedly involves global warming, time travel, and dual timelines set in both the 1980s and present day, with Damon and Oh playing parents of teenage protagonists. The production targets a November 19, 2027 theatrical release.
