The Truth About Santa Claus
Project Summary
Michael, a child therapist who clearly enjoys his life, his family and his job, tells a group of child patients the story of a man who used to be selfish, lazy and uninterested in love or having a family. When things are at their lowest point, the man has a run-in with Santa Claus, and afterwards finds that his whole world is populated by children--his best friend, Herbie, is now a child, his own therapist is now a child, and all the cops, security guards, mall Santas, school teachers, principals, janitors, even his wife--are all children. As Michael tells the story to his rapt audience of young patients, the man slowly discovers the true "gift" of Christmas: a new appreciation of love, family and commitment.
