The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj enters pre-production as a two-part historical epic, with T-Series Films and Legend Studios backing the ambitious project. Rishab Shetty, the National Award-winning Kantara star, takes on the role of the 17th-century Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj under the direction of producer-turned-director Sandeep Singh. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar produce for T-Series Films, with Shetty joining as co-producer alongside Shiv Chanana and Kabiir Sadanand. Singh co-wrote the screenplay with Rishi Virmani. The saga will explore Shivaji Maharaj's major battles, strategic victories, and lesser-known episodes from his life, centering on his military leadership and vision of Swarajya. The ensemble cast includes Shefali Shah as Rajmata Jijabai, with additional casting underway. Filming is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with the production combining creative talent from India and abroad.
