The Polar Express Train Ride, Southern CA (Role of Santa)

The Polar Express Train Ride is a live production that is an adaptation and portrayal of the Warner Bros. film and book by Chris Van Allsburg. When a doubting young child, the Hero Child, takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, they embark on a journey of self-discovery that shows them that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. The Hero Child's journey is forwarded and influenced by the Conductor, Hobo, and Polar Express Stewards. Throughout the show, the audience will get to witness the journey of the Hero Child and what happens when you truly believe. Santa and his Elves arrive on the train, and that is when the Hero Child receives the "first gift of Christmas", a silver bell that only rings for those who truly believe. Throughout the ride, audience members will be transported to the world of The Polar Express through song, dance, and joyous and thought-provoking scenes. They will be part of the story from start to finish and leave with a renewed sense of hope and belief. The show is an hour-long live, interactive production including scripted scenes, live singing, dancing, and a great deal of audience interaction. All performances take place aboard a real, moving train from the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris, CA, with 3–5 rides per show day. Rehearsals are held in La Mirada, CA. Actors are divided into three casts (Red Cast, Green Cast, and Blue Cast) on a rotation schedule with two casts working per show day.
