Project Summary
The Night They Vanished is a six-part romantic thriller currently in production for Channel 4 and BBC Studios. The series adapts Vanessa Savage's novel and follows Anna, a woman who has distanced herself from her family in Wales, only to discover her childhood home listed on a true-crime website as the scene of a horrific future crime. When her family disappears, Anna is forced to return to her remote coastal village in South Wales to uncover the truth. Gabrielle Creevy leads as Anna alongside Callum Scott Howells as Cai, who runs the true-crime site. The supporting cast includes Tamzin Outhwaite and Steffan Rhodri. Written by Angharad Elen and Hannah Daniel and directed by Geraint Todd, the series is produced by CliffEdge Entertainment, BBC Studios' new drama label, in association with Channel 4 and with support from Creative Wales. Filming has begun in Wales, with location work centered around areas including Magor.
