Creative Wales

Creative Wales (Welsh: Cymru Greadigol) is a Welsh Government internal economic development agency launched on 29 January 2020 to support the creative industries in Wales, spanning film and TV, animation, games, music, publishing, and immersive technology. It provides production funding, skills development, location services (via its Wales Screen sub-service), and strategic investment to both homegrown Welsh businesses and international productions choosing to film in Wales. Since inception, Creative Wales has awarded over £35.5 million in production funding to 74 projects, generating over £434 million in economic return to Wales, attracting major partners such as HBO, Netflix, Lucasfilm, and NBCUniversal.
