Project Summary
The Heights is a six-part psychological thriller for Channel 5, adapted from Louise Candlish's bestselling novel. Anna Friel stars as Ellen, a working mother in London whose family life begins to fracture when her teenage son Lucas brings home a troublesome new friend named Kieran. As Ellen watches Kieran's reckless behavior lead Lucas astray, she becomes increasingly desperate to protect her son. The series explores maternal love and how grief can blur the lines between justice and revenge, moving between past and present timelines as Ellen investigates what really happened. Clapperboard Studios produces, with Simon Tyrrell writing and Dominic Leclerc directing all episodes. The series filmed in London and is set to air on Channel 5 later in 2026, with FOX Entertainment Global handling international distribution.
