The Grand Duke

50-year-old NYU film professor Nick (Steve Buscemi) is determined to finish his low budget film, but family troubles force him back home to his weed-smoking 90-year-old mother. She helps him secure funding by organizing a reunion with wealthy distant family members. Amid flashbacks and psychedelic trips, we meet lovable characters, including Nick's mother's 40-year-old boyfriend, his teenage daughter, supportive wife, hardened sisters, and the supposedly wealthy relatives. The film takes us on a chaotic journey through family ties, 19th-century Russia, and legendary parrots.
