The Day Before

The Day Before is an independent science fiction short film written, directed, and starring Alexandra Grey. Grey plays Dr. Erynne Washington, the first astronaut selected for a Mars mission, with an ensemble cast that includes Matthew Law, Jamie Clayton, and Alexander David Pleasant. The project recently wrapped principal photography in Los Angeles and is now in post-production. Lilly Wachowski, co-creator of The Matrix and Sense8, has joined as executive producer. The film is produced by Grey through her company Bishop Street Production, alongside two-time Emmy-nominated producer Zackary Drucker, Jonathan Olson, and Student Academy Award winner Ilayda Cetinkaya. Additional executive producers include Jalen Jones, Grafton Doyle and John Reyes Doyle of Equites Productions, and TransLatin@ Coalition president Bamby Salcedo. The short is being positioned for a 2027 festival premiere.
