The Bright Side Running Club
Project Summary
The Bright Side Running Club is a feature film adaptation of Josie Lloyd's novel The Cancer Ladies' Running Club, moving into pre-production in Norfolk. Director Sheree Folkson, known for her work on Bridgerton and Doctor Who, leads the project with stars Maxine Peake and Gemma Jones attached. Harriet Rees produces through Kaleidoscope Films, with Christelle Conan executive producing and Liza Carmel co-producing. The production is the first to receive support from Norfolk Screen's new regional incentive program, combining investment funding and in-kind support. Norwich-based Epic Ev Studios will provide production services. Cameras are scheduled to roll in Cromer, Norfolk, later in 2026. Altitude Film Entertainment is handling international sales, launching the project at Cannes.
