Project Summary
Speak is a psychological horror thriller heading into pre-production this fall. Director John Kissack helms the project from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Carnahan and Casey Giltner. Josh Duhamel stars in the lead role, playing a father whose behavior becomes terrifyingly unhinged after inheriting a vintage ventriloquist dummy. The story, set in 1994, follows his twelve-year-old son as dark occurrences begin to shatter their isolated home, forcing the boy to navigate a harrowing nightmare where the line between real-world madness and supernatural terror blurs. Lorenzo di Bonaventura produces through Di Bonaventura Pictures alongside Carnahan, Marvin Neil, Liz Paulson, and Kay Cardinal. CAA Media Finance arranged financing and co-represents U. S. distribution rights, while Twenty-Nine Palms Entertainment serves as executive producer. Principal photography is scheduled to commence in October 2026, with a worldwide release targeted for 2027.
