Saw (Untitled New Installment)

Lionsgate and Blumhouse Atomic Monster are moving forward with a new Saw film, the first installment since Blumhouse acquired franchise rights in 2025. Mike P. Nelson, whose recent horror credits include Wrong Turn, Silent Night Deadly Night, and the upcoming creature feature Beware Boiúna, will direct from a script by Gregory Weidman and Geoff Tock, the writing duo behind Dune: Prophecy. James Wan and Leigh Whannell, who created the original 2004 film, return as producers alongside Jason Blum, with Mark Burg, Oren Koules, Stacey Testro, Michael Clear, and Judson Scott executive producing. This marks Wan's first creative involvement with the billion-dollar franchise since Saw III in 2007. The project represents a fresh start for the series after a previously planned Saw XI with different creative personnel stalled in development. No production dates or casting have been announced yet.
