Preppy

Preppy marks Janicza Bravo's return to feature filmmaking, her first since 2020's acclaimed Zola. Written by Rose Lichter-Marck and David Levine, the film dramatizes the notorious 1986 Preppy Murder case in New York City. The story follows two young women who unknowingly become involved with the same dangerous man during a sweltering summer. When one is found murdered in Central Park, the sensational case ignites a media firestorm over sex, privilege, and victim's rights. Michael Costigan and John Buderwitz are producing the indie feature, which is set to begin principal photography in September 2026.
