Project Summary
Pralay has begun principal photography in Mumbai, marking director Jai Mehta's feature debut with a high-concept zombie thriller. Ranveer Singh headlines the project and serves as producer through his Maa Kasam Films banner, alongside production partners Birla Studios and Hansal Mehta's True Story Films. Kalyani Priyadarshan, following her breakout in Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, joins Singh in what is being positioned as her Bollywood debut. The production is filming at live locations across the Mumbai region, with an international crew assembled for the technically intensive shoot. Mehta, who previously co-directed the acclaimed series Scam 1992, brings his storytelling sensibility to what producers describe as India's first large-scale post-apocalyptic survival film. The project follows Singh's record-breaking Dhurandhar duology and represents one of the most ambitious standalone productions in his career.
