Project Summary
Our Raised Skin (Nuestra Piel Levantada) is an experimental hybrid documentary and video-essay from director Paolo Natale, currently in advanced development through Madrid Film School's ECAM incubator program as one of five projects selected for La Incubadora's ninth edition. The project examines male emotional education and bodily perception within contemporary patriarchal contexts, drawing on Natale's personal observation of compulsive eating disorders shared by himself, his father, and his grandfather. Produced by Manuela Gutiérrez Arrieta, Juan Carlos Ballesteros, Nabil Ejey, and Mubox Studio, the film has secured development funding from the Region of Murcia and La 7, Murcia's regional television channel. The team is actively seeking additional financing in Spain and Italy and is planning to begin shooting portions of the project in summer 2027.
